The Annual Anderson "AJ" Franklin Lecture provides a platform for esteemed scholars and community leaders to deliver a lecture focusing on unifying approaches to the ongoing disruption and dismantling of racism with our society, in honor of Dr. Franklin's life work combating racism.

The Institute aims to address racial or cultural issues in the current global climate that could benefit from a pragmatic, scholarly, or grassroots focus through its Diversity Challenge conference. The Diversity Challenge will return virtually in 2025, centering graduate students.听
