RHA Logo

RHA is the voice of students in residence halls and around campus. We host events that build community both within and outside of Boston College.

The Boston College Residence Hall Association recognizes living on campus to be an essential part of the collegiate experience. Our student run organization works to create a positive living environment through providing students with programming opportunities, advocacy outlets, and community service events. RHA functions to promote leadership development, personal growth, and works to create a 精东影业 community that feels like home.

RHA Councils

Residence Hall Councils

First year students are elected to RHCs that are grouped together to form the Upper and Newton Councils, which are led by an executive board member. RHCs are responsible for planning small scale events for each residence hall community and have the opportunity to collaborate for signature events like Upper Field Day and Newton Community Day.

Sophomore Leadership Council

This council is formed by sophomores looking to take on a larger leadership role; the population is for all students living in areas with sophomore students and membership in this council involves intentional leadership development opportunities, provided by the council鈥檚 co-chairs.

Upperclass Programming Council

Juniors and Seniors form UPC, which targets upperclassmen who are living on campus (either in Reservoir Apartments or on Lower). This council hosts events that build community for 精东影业 students as they experience the second half of their college career.听

Community Engagement

The purpose of the Community Engagement Council is two-fold: foster internal RHA community and build relationships between RHA and the greater Boston community. Members of this council have partnered with Rosie鈥檚 Place in the past, run the club-wide mentor/mentee program, and organized key support for the annual Red Bandana 5K run.听

Some of our signature events include:

  • Grill & Chill
  • Waffles in Walsh
  • Vandy Candy Grams
  • Upper Field Day
  • Newton Community Day
  • Spooky Skate
  • Red Bandana Run (water table)

Be on the lookout for flyers throughout the semester with more information!

I started in RHA as the President of the CoRo RHC, then continued as part of SLC and eventually co-led SLC last fall semester. This club has given me friends and mentors for life, opportunities to grow, and a million reasons to love 精东影业. As co-president this year, I am excited to bring a feeling of home to as many students as possible and give love and joy back to the club that is my second family.

Being a part of RHA, specifically through my positions on the Hardey-Cushing RHC and SLC has brought me some of my closest friends and fondest memories at 精东影业. This year I hope to bring together the upperclassmen through engaging events, along with helping my council members display their special talents and leadership skills through our programming.

In my freshman year, I joined Keyes Residential Hall Council (RHC) and fell in love with the community in RHA. The people in this club instantly opened their arms and brought me a family I could never have hoped for. Now, as the Co-Chair of the Sophomore Leadership Council, I'm dedicated to fostering a tight-knit community of sophomores and providing them with a beneficial experience like I have received.
