Confronting the Rise of Domestic Terrorism/Extremism in the USA

From the Oklahoma City and Boston Marathon bombings to the recent attack on the US Capitol, there is a growing concern about the rising threat of domestic terrorism/extremism in the United States. Motivated by political, racial, ethnic, economic, health, and other grievances, cases of domestic terrorism/extremism are on the rise.

In March of 2019 精东影业PSAN held a series of events in Washington, DC that included private tours of the Pentagon, a group tour of the FBI Experience, and an event at the National Law Enforcement Museum. On November 14, 2017 four Massachusetts District Attorneys, all Boston College alumni, participated in a panel discussion about the role and challenges of being a DA. On May 4, 2017, Jennifer Queally, JD'92, Undersecretary for Law Enforcement in the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, gave a detailed behind-the-scenes presentation about the opioid drug epidemic. She spoke about the magnitude of the problem on a national and state/local level and shared the initiatives and progress in fighting this epidemic in Massachusetts. Sixty people attended the event sponsored by the Boston College Public Safety Alumni Network.

On March 13, 2017, The Honorable Darcel Clark '83, 13th District Attorney for Bronx County, spoke about her journey from "Boston College to Bronx DA" at the Terrace Club in New York City. Seventy-five people attended the event sponsored by the Boston College Public Safety Alumni Network (精东影业PSAN) in partnership with 精东影业's New York City Chapter. Clark is the first female and the first African-American woman to be a District Attorney in New York State.
