When natural disasters occur, firms may choose to respond through a charitable contribution, a matching gifts program, an employee relief program, and/or volunteerism. The tragic earthquake affecting Turkey and Syria is no exception. Companies Responding to the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria
UPS
The UPS Foundation is delivering what matters for the people of Turkey and Syria with a commitment of $1M in global logistics support and UPS employee contributions with company match as follows:

* Launching a winter-items donation drive in the UAE and a nation-wide relief kit packing volunteer exercise is being planned at Expo City.

FEDEX
FedEx shared in an updated (2/21/23) :
"FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) continues to support those affected by the catastrophic earthquakes that have devastated Southern Turkey and Northern Syria, committing more than $1,000,000 (USD) worth of in-kind shipping so far. Overnight, the company chartered a FedEx MD-11 of dedicated relief from Dubai, UAE, to Istanbul, Turkey. This was the fifth consecutive flight taking place from February 17 to 21 delivering approximately 230 metric tonnes of relief supplies including tents, blankets, baby items, household supplies, and hygiene kits from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)."
TARGET

Accenture chair and chief executive officer, Julie Sweet, shared in a :

- TELUS International is developing long term support packages for impacted team members and their families, and providing them with financial assistance.
- TELUS International T眉rkiye is donating US $16,000 to Foundation of Anatolian People and Peace Platform (AHBAP).
TEXAS INSTRUMENTS (TI) FOUNDATION
The TI Foundation has made a grant of $25,000 to American Red Cross for earthquake relief in T眉rkiye and will match donations by TI employees to American Red Cross and other accredited U.S.-based nonprofits. Employees outside of the U.S. can donate to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent T眉rkiye fund, and the TI Foundation will match up to $25,000 in total donations to this fund by non-U.S. employees.
COCA-COLA
The Coca-Cola system will provide in Turkey. In addition, Coca-Cola I莽ecek, the Company鈥檚 bottling partner in Turkey, has shipped several tractor-trailers of bottled water to the Turkish Red Crescent Society from its nearest facility for distribution in those areas with the greatest need. Employees across the region have also initiated a campaign to send cash contributions to help support the aid work of the Red Crescent in the Van area.
AMAZON
including heaters, blankets, and other goods to aide first responders and help victims stay warm amid frigid weather. Amazon customers can help by donating through a new donations page on Amazon鈥檚 Turkey store. Regarding employee safety and wellbeing, Amazon stated:
"As of Tuesday morning, all of Amazon鈥檚 nearly 2,000 employees in Turkey were safe and accounted for. We continue to be in contact with organizations on the ground and the Turkish government to learn more about what鈥檚 needed in areas impacted by the earthquake, and we will work with partners to deliver relief items and logistical support."
DEUTSCHE BANK
Deutsche Bank鈥檚 corporate social responsibility teams and foundations around the world are
鈥"As a bank we鈥檝e been in Turkey since 1909 and we stand by our colleagues there," Sewing said. "We are making a donation to support the Red Cross/Red Crescent and will start a donation campaign among staff worldwide."
IKEA
The IKEA Foundation in T眉rkiye and Northern Syria. The Foundation is also speaking with other partners who are operating in the region. These partners are coordinating with Turkish authorities to understand further needs and opportunities to provide additional assistance. This includes discussions with Better Shelter, looking at ways to provide modular temporary housing units in T眉rkiye and Syria.

The company will also waive international roaming, data and calls between Turkey and the U.S for T-Mobile and Sprint postpaid customers and prepaid.
BAYER
Bayer will donate a total of . Of that sum, 1 million euros will be used to offer 鈥渋mmediate aid鈥 to Turkey through the disaster relief organizations Red Crescent and Ahbap. A further 200,000 euros will be sent to Syria by way of the German Red Cross. The company is also starting a global employee donation campaign, and Bayer will match up to 300,000 euros of giving. Bayer is also offering paid volunteer hours to qualified staffers in the region, and it鈥檚 preparing product donations鈥攐f both medicines and agricultural products鈥攂ased on its assessment of 鈥渕ost urgent needs.鈥

BOEING
Boeing will provide from the Boeing Charitable Trust to assist those impacted by the recent earthquake in Turkey. Boeing's donation will be directed through the American Red Cross and designated for earthquake recovery and relief efforts by the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network.As part of the Boeing Gift Match program, the company will match dollar-for-dollar monetary donations from Boeing employees to charitable organizations supporting earthquake recovery and relief projects in Turkey. This will extend the reach of assistance being provided to impacted communities.

Allianz Group announced it would make available following the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, including up to one million euros to match the donations of its employees and tied agents.
BAKER HUGHES
The Baker Hughes Foundation has announced to support those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and surrounding areas. Additionally, through direct contributions from Baker Hughes employees and matching gifts from the Baker Hughes Foundation, an incremental $72,000 to support relief efforts has been raised since the first week in February.
DEUTSCHE TELEKOM
Deutsche Telekom will make all calls from its network between Germany, Turkey and Syria free for a week as part of its response to the earthquake; Telekom and Congstar customers in Turkey and Syria would be able to roam for free. The company also said in a statement it .
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORPORATION
Mitsubishi (approximately US$ 152,672) to aid victims of earthquakes that struck Southern Turkey. The donation will be made through the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Japan. The company's local subsidiaries in Turkey also plan to make a donation, and the Mitsubishi Electric Group will continue to provide support for recovery.
DOOSAN GROUP
Doosan Group announced it in Turkey. Doosan plans to promptly deliver the equipment, with the support of a local contractor, to be used for rescuing people and restoring basic infrastructure such as roads and buildings.
ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
Rockwell Automation, Inc. is to support relief efforts for one of the most powerful earthquakes to ever hit T眉rkiye and Syria. "The devastating impact of these earthquakes coupled with vulnerabilities and harsh winter conditions, means recovery will be long, " said Patricia Contreras, vice president, Community Impact. "We are proud to support the Red Cross and their frontline efforts to help so many who are in need."
MERCURY
