As of March 2021, Google added a new security feature to 精东影业 Google Meet settings, called Quick Access. While Quick Access is turned ON you will not notice any differences in how Google Meet behaves. However, if a meeting organizer turns Quick Access OFF, these new security features are added to the meeting:
- The host must join first, and if you join a meeting before the host, you鈥檒l be brought to a waiting room.
- Only people invited by the host can join the meeting without asking.
- Everyone else must ask the host to join the meeting (even if they were invited by someone else in the meeting).
- People cannot join anonymously.
- Only hosts can dial out of a meeting.
Meeting organizers can choose to turn Quick Access on or off at any time once a Google Meet has been created, either before a meeting has started, or even during a meeting.
Recurring Meeting Tip: DO NOT SELECT 鈥淓nd meeting for all,鈥 or 鈥淓nd the call.鈥 Instead, select 鈥淟eave meeting.鈥 Selecting 鈥淓nd meeting for all鈥澨齩r 鈥淓nd the call鈥 will automatically turn OFF Quick Access for all future instances of the recurring meeting, and all the new security features will be applied to future instances of the meeting.听
