One of Boston College鈥檚 most popular community events, the 鈥淪ing It to the Heights鈥 music competition, will take place for the 12th year on March 3 in Robsham Theater at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the event 鈥 sponsored by the Emerging Leader Program, Office of Governmental and Community Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, and Robsham Theater Arts Center 鈥 support music programs at the St. Columbkille Partnership School, a Catholic elementary school in Brighton operated by St. Columbkille Parish, the Archdiocese of Boston and Boston College. Last year鈥檚 show raised $6,350.

The 鈥淎merican Idol鈥-inspired competition will be judged by Campus Minister Donald MacMillan, S.J., Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences graduate students Ryan Duns, S.J., and Fidele Ingiyimbere, S.J. This year鈥檚 contestants are William Bolton 鈥16, Tyler Coyne 鈥17, Nickolas Diamondidis 鈥18, Lexi Kelly 鈥19, Khari King 鈥19, Sarah Rooney 鈥18, Ben Seo 鈥17, Maverick Lydon Shay 鈥19, Will Supple 鈥19 and Sarah Zhukovin 鈥18.聽

Also performing at the event will be last year鈥檚 winner, Wynnm Murphy 鈥18, as well as students from St. Columbkille.
